WHAT IS CREATIVE MUSIC TECH?

The program will be offered every Monday 2-6pm. Registered students will have access to the facility and be given the opportunity to explore and create at their own pace. Every two-weeks a project focus or brief will be given and the students will be given the tools needed to complete the project, but they will have to determine the how through creative exploration. At the end of each 8-week program, we will host a Creative Music Tech Expo, where students will have the opportunity to showcase their final products.

  • To expose urban youth to the possibilities of careers in creative technology

  • Creative Music Tech (CMT) is a program designed to attract and engage students, ages 12-18, to explore the world of music technology in a completely experiential and multi-dimensional way. Through workshops, field trips, presentations and hands-on labs, these students will be not only be exposed to the technology used to create their favorite entertainment, but they will be immersed in exploring the various roles they can play in that world.
