WHAT IS ARTS EMBASSY ACADEMY

The Arts Embassy Academy Program is an 8-week non-profit afterschool program designed to foster and stimulate the innate creative and intellectual talents of students from the greater Orlando, FL area.. Our program targets teens ages 12-18 through a unique and innovative music & technology curriculum that aims to serve dual purposes: 1) Give them access to the tools and foundational knowledge of music technology & business 2) Boost their self-esteem and moral focus through mentorship, exploration and career development.

Through our holistic approach, we engage our students through in-depth arts education, while simultaneously focusing on harnessing the beauty and power of character development and essential life skills. AEA creates a unique opportunity for these young aspiring music producers, musicians, songwriters, singers, dancers, visual artists, and future entrepreneurs to: connect their core academics to a desired art form, receive individualized mentorship, develop a unique arts and entrepreneurial portfolio, as well as meet and learn from arts and entertainment industry professionals.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

Our program thrives on focusing on five critical areas of youth development:

1) Self-Discovery & Expression, 2) Relationship Building, 3)­ Leadership & Entrepreneurship 4) Artistic Appreciation & Mastery  5)Educational Success

Similar to our Girlsound Program, The Arts Embassy Academy Program has (3) core classes that will meet (2) days a week for 2 hours per day for (8-12 week sessions)

The Foundations of Music Production & Engineering

This is a beginning production course that introduces the students to the basics of studio production: digital audio workstations, digital software, sound design, midi, audio recording, virtual instruments, mixing, and mastering. They will all learn how to create their own beats that will be written to and recorded over and performed to by the end of the 8-12 weeks. (Academic Correlation - Mathematics & Science)

Story Mapping & Topline Songwriting

This is a songwriting class that teaches the students to express themselves through poetry and musical composition. They will learn the fundamentals of communication through songwriting and be able to work with the studio production team to record. (Academic Correlation - English & Literature)

Creative Business Development & Management 

All students will gain fundamental knowledge of business development and organizational operations and management. They will learn the basics of vision-shaping, vision-sharing (pitch), money management, developing their resume, building relationships, and developing their own personal brand
